Terms of use
These terms apply to threat-guard.site, published by CC Imports s.r.o., Nademlejnská 600/1, Hloubětín, 198 00 Praha 9, Czech Republic, company number 08427577, VAT CZ08427577.
1. What this site is
Threat Guard publishes general information about consumer device security. It is a reading resource and nothing more: there is no account to create, no service supplied, nothing sold here, and no form to complete. Reading it costs nothing and requires nothing of you.
2. The information is general, not advice
The material is written for a general audience and cannot take account of your particular devices, circumstances or obligations. It is not professional security advice, not legal advice, and not a substitute for guidance from a qualified person where your situation warrants one — for example, a business handling client data or a person dealing with the consequences of an incident. You remain responsible for decisions you make about your own systems.
3. Product information changes
Where a product is described here, that description is general and reflects what we understood at the time of writing. Features, inclusions, availability, device limits, terms and prices are set by the vendor and change without reference to us. Anything you rely on before purchasing should be confirmed on the vendor's own website, and the vendor's terms govern any purchase you make from it. We publish no prices and no test results, for the reasons set out on the about page.
4. Links to other websites
This site links to websites operated by others, including Australian government services and the one commercial destination described in the affiliate disclosure. Those sites are outside our control. We do not endorse, warrant or take responsibility for their content, their availability, or their handling of your information, and their own terms and privacy policies apply once you arrive.
5. Affiliate arrangement
The publisher earns a commission when a reader subscribes to a linked product after following a link from this site. This is disclosed beside every such link, near the top of the home page, and in full on the affiliate disclosure page. It costs you nothing additional and creates no contract between you and us; any purchase is between you and the vendor.
6. Trade marks and content
Product names, logos and brands mentioned here are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify and describe the products discussed. Threat Guard is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. The text and layout of this site are the publisher's; you are welcome to quote a short passage with attribution and a link, but not to republish pages wholesale.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the site available and accurate, and we correct errors when we find them or when a reader reports one. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, or that every page is free of mistakes. If you find one, tell us.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for loss or damage arising from reliance on the general information published here, from the use of a third-party website reached through a link, or from a product purchased from a vendor.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that applies to you under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a guarantee applies and liability can be limited rather than excluded, our liability is limited to resupplying the information or paying the cost of having it resupplied. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are explained by the ACCC.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, where the publisher is established. If you are a consumer resident in Australia, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your place of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts available to you there.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time; the effective date above shows when the current version took effect. Continuing to use the site after a change means the current version applies to your use of it.
